Hi, I'm Chrashae...
Over the past 9 years I have attended over 150 births as a birth doula and birth photographer. Each one holds a special place in my heart. I'm truly humbled to witness such intimate moments and to be invited into that space each time. And yes...I still cry when a baby is born.
My Why...
After the birth of my son in 2016, I became a Certified Birth Doula with DONA International. I've always grabbed a nearby phone to snap a few pictures for my doula clients; but I knew after having a Birth Photographer for my second birth, that this was something I HAD to do.
Capturing those precious, fleeting moments is something so sacred. "Labor land" is a real place mamas go during labor, and afterward, it can feel like a blur. One of the most important days in your life, the birth of your baby, should NOT be a blur.
So Worth It...
We all know how quickly they grow; and if you don't know yet, you soon will!
Sometimes photos are my escape from the bittersweet reality of my kids growing up. My husband and I look back at them often and we're so thankful to have them. A little hack at rewinding life, if even for a few moments.
